Place the softened butter and both sugars in a large bowl. Beat with a mixer until the butter is light and fluffy and all the sugar is fully incorporated.
Add the egg and beat briefly on low speed.
Prepare the dry ingredients (flour, matcha, baking soda, baking powder, salt). Add them to the bowl with the whipped butter and mix thoroughly using a spatula or wooden spoon.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
While the oven is preheating, chop the Oreo cookies and chocolate into small pieces. Fold them into the cookie dough.
From the dough, shape balls. We recommend making 4-8 cookies from one batch of dough, depending on how big you want them. Place the shaped balls on a baking sheet and flatten them a little so they bake nicely even on the inside. However, don't flatten the cookies completely, because they will shape themselves beautifully while baking.
Bake for about 10 minutes, then let them cool on the baking sheet.
